Hanoi Autumn Photo Tour Itinerary

Day 1 · Ha Noi

In the afternoon, we immerse ourselves in the vibrant incense village, photographing its rich colors and cultural charm—a place celebrated since my photo was featured in National Geographic in June 2007.

After an inspiring shoot, we head into town for a warm welcome dinner, savoring delicious local cuisine while bonding and toasting to the adventure ahead.

The day’s blend of creative photography and shared moments sets the stage for a memorable journey through Vietnam’s cultural heart.

Day 2 · Ha Noi

Our morning unfolds in a traditional soy sauce village, where we photograph artisans meticulously crafting this culinary staple, capturing their dedication to a generations-old tradition.

In the afternoon, we visit a bamboo fishing trap village, documenting the skilled hands weaving intricate traps that showcase local ingenuity and craftsmanship.

Day 3 · Hanoi

At dawn, we journey to Hanoi’s outskirts to photograph the vibrant waterlily fields, where farmers arrange delicate blooms in a stunning, colorful display.

Returning to Hanoi, we capture the city’s energy on a street photography walk, exploring lively markets and the iconic Train Street’s vibrant scenes.

As evening falls, we enjoy a captivating water puppet show, where intricate puppets and live music bring Hanoi’s rich cultural heritage to life.

Day 4 · Hanoi - Ninh Binh

In the morning, we engage in conceptual photography, capturing the vibrant hues of drying sedge used for crafting traditional Vietnamese sleeping mats and the intricate process of sewing red nets.

Later, we journey to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ninh Binh’s Tam Coc complex, where we photograph the dramatic limestone karsts and serene waterways nestled in lush greenery.

The day’s creative exploration blends the rich textures of local craftsmanship with the timeless natural beauty of Tam Coc, offering a profound visual narrative.

Day 5 · Ninh Binh

Early in the morning, we visit Bich Dong Pagoda, where its iconic gate, framed by ancient stone and moss, evokes Vietnam’s spiritual heritage.

Mid-morning, we explore Thung Chim, capturing the serene beauty of birds gliding over reflective waters in a tranquil natural setting.

In the late afternoon, we ascend Hang Mua for panoramic views of dramatic limestone peaks and lush greenery, showcasing Ninh Binh’s stunning landscape.

Day 6 · Ninh Binh - Phu Tho

We begin with a serene boat journey through the Trang An complex, gliding past stunning limestone karsts and tranquil waterways.

In the afternoon, our photography group explores Duong Lam ancient village, a centuries-old settlement showcasing traditional northern Vietnamese architecture and vibrant local life.

The narrow alleyways and ancient houses of Duong Lam offer endless opportunities to capture authentic moments and rich textures of Vietnam’s cultural heritage.

Day 7 · Phu Tho - Ha Noi

We greet the morning with a breathtaking sunrise over Long Coc tea hills, where golden light cascades over rolling landscapes, creating a stunning backdrop for photography.

As we capture the serene beauty of the hills, we also focus on the ethnic communities of Phu Tho, preserving authentic moments of their daily lives and cultural traditions.

After this enriching visual journey, we return to Noi Bai International Airport by 12 PM, with photographs that immortalize the landscapes and cultural stories of Northern Vietnam.
