Arrive in Hanoi and settle into our 5-star hotel. Our first session is a deep dive into the Quang Phu Cau Incense Village—a location made famous by Tran Tuan Viet’s National Geographic work. Capture the rhythmic patterns of scarlet incense bundles and the artisans who create them. Welcome dinner in the Old Quarter.
Day 2
Sunrise at the Hanoi Ceramic Road mural. Spend the morning in a traditional soy sauce village (Ban) to document centuries-old fermentation jars. In the afternoon, we photograph the intricate artistry of bamboo fishing trap weavers in Hung Yen, focusing on light and shadow through woven structures.
Day 3
Explore the laterite architecture of Duong Lam Ancient Village, capturing the textures of 400-year-old gates and communal houses. In the afternoon, we transfer to Ninh Binh, the "Halong Bay on Land," to prepare for sunset amidst the limestone karsts.
Day 4
Sunrise rowboat session in Tam Coc to capture waterlilies and towering cliffs. After breakfast, we journey northwest toward Mu Cang Chai. We conclude the day in Tu Le Valley, photographing the emerald rice fields as the golden hour illuminates the Thai ethnic minority villages.
Day 5
A full day dedicated to the Mam Xoi and Horse-shoe rice terraces. We track the light as it moves across the sculpted hillsides, working on wide-angle landscapes and intimate detail shots of the H’Mong farmers. Sunset session at the iconic "Horse-shoe" bend.
Day 6
Sunrise at the Lao Chai terraces, capturing the mist rising between the ridges. Midday, we wander through the Pung Luong Bamboo Forest for ethereal, vertical compositions. The afternoon is dedicated to a Post-Processing Workshop led by Daniel Kordan, refining your raw files into masterpieces.
Day 7
Final morning light in Mu Cang Chai before transfer back to Hanoi. Catch an evening flight to the imperial city of Hue. Check into our luxury riverside hotel and unwind.
Day 8
Sunrise at Chuon Lagoon to witness stilt houses and net casting. Afternoon exploration of the Hue Imperial Citadel with professional models in traditional Ao Dai. We conclude with a blue-hour lantern ceremony on the Perfume River.
Day 9
Early morning session at Thanh Tien Paper Flower Village for vibrant macro and portrait work. Visit an abandoned water park for surreal, avant-garde imagery. Transfer to Hoi An; evening street photography session amidst the world-famous silk lanterns and night markets.
Day 10
Sunrise session with coracle boats and fishermen sewing nets. We focus on "The Human Element," capturing environmental portraits of artisans. Afternoon curated shoot in Hoi An Old Town with models in traditional Vietnamese attire against the iconic saffron-hued walls.
Day 11
Sunrise session at the Cua Dai river mouth to capture the "Ro Cho" giant fishing nets—a 46-year-old tradition. We finalize the tour in Da Nang, transferring to the airport by 3:00 PM with a portfolio of stunning Vietnamese imagery.
